About Lucy

I am a fully qualified counsellor, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I hold a Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am trained to work integratively within a person-centred context.

My pronouns are she/ her/ hers.

My Background

My background is in secondary science education and I have much training and expertise in working with young people. My experience as a counsellor spans a wide age range, from 12+ teenagers to 80+ adults.

 

Each age group presents its own particular life crises and benefits from the compassionate way in which I approach the therapeutic relationship. I have counselled in diverse settings from youth agency to hospice, as well as working as a volunteer school counsellor.

As a registered practitioner member of the BACP I am bound to and adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework. I hold full Liability Insurance and a clear Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) check.

 

My commitment to working to professional standards includes undergoing regular professional development by attending training courses and webinars so as to keep up to date with the latest ways of working.
